Gail studied art at Alberta College of Art, Calgary, Alberta. She has won numerous awards for her work, including IQA, Houston, The Queens Prize, NQA. She is an illustrator, Design/Art Director for studios, Costume & Set Designer for various theaters among other talents. She has won many National and International awards for her Art Quilts. Her work can be seen in private and corporate collections in Canada, USA, England, Wales and Australia.
Come join Gail as she shares her knowledge and her love of painting. Painting requires a desire to give it a try, the openness to listen to a few techniques, and the patience to let the paint dry.
THE ART OF PAINTING ON FABRIC
Gail intends on sharing her joy of painting on fabric with Angel Paint. She will guide you through the painting of decorative design blocks onto fabric. The cut painted pieces of painted fabric can then to be lovingly hand or machine sewn together to form colorful painted bags that can be used to carry your next quilting project. In addition, if there is something from a photo or sketch that you have a desire to paint, bring that along as well. Create, be inspired and have fun.
