DIXIE McBRIDE - Eureka, California
Dixie is a quilting teacher, judge and juror on the national and international level and top award winner since 1988, including PIQF San Francisco, CA, AQS Paducah, KY and IQA Houston, TX, where she has won 1st place and the prestigious Best Of Show awards. Her quilt, “PEACOCKS” was a runner up in the Best 100 Quilts Of the 20th Century sponsored by IQA and her work has been featured in many publications.
Dixie is a board member of the International Quilt Association, Houston, TX. She is the producer of Quilters’ Escape.
INDEPENDENT STUDY
By request this class is designed as a retreat to just relax and “do your own thing”. A great get-away and someone else cooks and cleans! You may want to finish an unfinished project or start one you already have in mind. Visit with others in the class, read a book, walk along the river trail, explore the area/redwood forest, sleep or stay up late. We will also have a wonderful new board game set up to play - Quiltopoly (Dixie will be joining in on this one).
Dixie will also be available, in and out of the classroom as she tends to the seminar needs, to answer questions on quilting at large. Bring your questions! All levels
