For almost 25 years Cathie has been quilting and designing wearable art for herself, family and for others. Her specialties include all types of machine appliqué, decorative machine embellishment, wearable art design, and a wide range of piecing and quilt construction techniques. Cathie’s credentials include a Home Economics degree and textile skills honed over 44 years of sewing. Whatever your skill level, one of Cathie’s goals is to help students realize their potential as a fabric artist and to empower each person with enough knowledge and confidence to continue experimentation beyond the classroom.

WILD & CRAZY - Quilt with Easy Applique Curves
Try “quilting on the wild side” while working with outrageous prints, stripes, and unusual embellishments. Curves are simply and easily machine appliquéd! Instructions will be projected “live” demos. You will learn how to use: rickrack, rickrack flowers, prairie points, knots, piping, glitter paint, foil and simple, fused shapes. Cathie’s “Wild & Crazy” pattern and an addendum of embellishment applications with which to continue on your “quilting on the wild side!”
